Section/Area: Platformer Alkylation Unit (PAU)
Join us in the Platformer Alkylation Unit (PAU), a pivotal facility in the petroleum refining industry, specializing in the production of high-octane gasoline components. As a Process Controller Gr 2, you will operate process equipment and systems within our Sasol environment to ensure safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities
- Effective Shift Management: Ensure smooth shift handovers and perform gas tests for vessel entries.
- Chemical Handling: Safely handle and mix process chemicals, adhering to safety protocols.
- Compliance and Reporting: Conduct safety inspections, report deviations, and maintain shift logs diligently.
- Emergency Preparedness: Monitor emergency procedures, participate in exercises, and ensure readiness.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify defects, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to enhance plant efficiency.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow SOPs, PSM standards, and permit-to-work procedures meticulously.
- Team Collaboration: Support diversity, coach fellow workers, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
Requirements
- Education: Full N3 with Maths & Science & Business English or Grade 12 with Math, Science & English.
- Certification: NQF Level 2 Certificate minimum.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Chemical/Petrochemical Processing Environment, preferably within a Platformer Alkylation Unit plant or oil refinery.
- Technical Competencies: Proficient in Production Resource Management, Production Risk Management, and Project Quality Management.
- Behavioural Skills: Demonstrates collaboration, accountability, action orientation, and self-development.
