Location: Various Hungry Lion outlets across South Africa
Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Assist with general store operations, including food preparation, packaging, and service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and customer areas.
Assist customers with orders and provide excellent customer service.
Stock management, including receiving, unpacking, and organizing supplies.
Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols.
Work as part of a team to ensure efficient store operations.
Perform other general duties as assigned by management.

Sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces in workspaces, warehouses, or storage areas. They also might clean machines or tools after use.
Disposing of trash, recycling materials, and ensuring waste is handled appropriately in line with company guidelines.
If working in customer-facing industries, such as retail, they may be tasked with keeping storefronts, bathrooms, and customer areas clean and presentable.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10-12 (Matric certificate preferred but not mandatory).
South African citizen or valid work permit.
No previous work experience required, but experience in the fast-food or retail industry is an advantage.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused attitude.
Providing tools or materials that skilled workers need, ensuring they don’t have to leave their workstation or task.
Assisting in carrying out tasks as instructed by more experienced colleagues. For example, holding materials in place for a carpenter or electrician while they work.
Moving items to different parts of a worksite or warehouse to ensure workers have the tools they need for specific tasks.
