TELECOM OPERATOR (X2 POSTS)
SALARY : R183 279 per annum
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std. 7).
Work shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Work overtime when required for operational needs.
Experience Appropriate experience in operating an electronic switchboard and a messaging system.
Ability to operate an electronic switchboard.
Excellent listening skills and telephone etiquette.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Operate electronic switchboards, answer telephonic queries, and deliver messages.
Ensure that the switchboard and telephone equipment are in working order.
Monitor, place, and record all cellular, national, and international calls made.
Effectively sending of bulk SMS’s.
Perform administration duties in the paging office.
Update speed dials and speed dial directory and report all telephone faults and switchboard errors to the Supervisor.
Candidates need to be available for selection interviews on a date, time and place as determined by the Department.
