About the Role
HomeChoice is looking for a 24-Hour Flexi Sales Associate to join its Northgate Shopping Centre store in Gauteng. This position requires a confident, customer-oriented individual who enjoys interacting with people, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards of service excellence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting showroom visitors into satisfied customers by demonstrating products, providing expert advice, and processing orders efficiently. You will also play an important role in maintaining store presentation, managing inventory, and ensuring every customer leaves with a positive impression of the HomeChoice brand.
What You Will Do in This Role
As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of the brand on the showroom floor. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences
- Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner.
- Provide expert advice and demonstrate products to match customers’ needs.
- Ensure every customer feels valued, understood, and supported throughout their shopping experience.
2. Drive Sales and Meet Targets
- Convert customer interest into completed sales through active engagement and persuasive communication.
- Understand current pricing, promotions, and offers to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Handle order captures accurately and efficiently to ensure smooth transactions.
3. Manage the Full Customer Journey
- Assist customers with account openings, order processing, and payment management.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.
- Ensure that every step — from product inquiry to delivery — runs seamlessly.
4. Maintain Store Standards
- Keep the showroom floor clean, organised, and visually appealing.
- Ensure all merchandise is displayed correctly, well-stocked, and labelled accurately.
- Adhere to HomeChoice’s visual merchandising and operational standards at all times.
5. Handle Administration and Reporting
- Complete daily administrative tasks, including sales reporting, stock control, and customer data updates.
- Track performance metrics to ensure individual and team goals are met.
- Provide valuable feedback and insights to support store improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the 24-Hour Flexi Sales Associate role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- At least 1 year of retail experience (preferably in homeware or related industries)
- Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Not currently debarred or declared unfit under the FAIS Act
- A customer-first attitude with a genuine passion for retail
Experience in the homeware retail industry will be considered an advantage.
