Position: Groundsman – Horticultural Services

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Grade 10 / Standard 8 or ABET Level 4 Certificate (or equivalent)
No previous work experience required
Basic literacy and good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Basic understanding of horticultural tools and equipment
Willingness to work flexible hours according to operational needs

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining government premises and outdoor spaces, including:

General garden and grounds maintenance
Planting, pruning, watering, mowing, paving, and tree felling
Maintaining flower beds and removing weeds
Collecting and loading garden refuse for disposal
Operating gardening equipment such as lawnmowers and chainsaws when required
Ensuring strict compliance with occupational health and safety standards
