Description
An exciting opportunity exists to ensure that all planned operational targets for the Tailings Division are met on time and of good quality as per contractual obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with immediate Supervisor to achieve operational targets.
Conduct daily inspections within designated area of responsibility.
Plan and manage tailings material on site and at depositing areas.
Extend and connect pipelines as required.
Operate valves in line with operational requirements.
Follow instructions provided by immediate Supervisor to carry out specific tasks.
Assist in resolving operational challenges and promptly report deviations to the immediate Supervisor.
Perform Mud Guard duties, including monitoring and controlling tailings dam levels and maintaining dam integrity.
Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
Comply with all safety rules, regulations and procedures in line with applicable legislation and company policies.
Attend and participate in toolbox talks/meetings.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one years’ experience preferably having worked in a mining/construction environment.
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Good planning and organising.
Teamwork and observant.
Good listening skills.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of one years’ experience preferably having worked in a mining/construction environment.
Must pass company and/or client criminal screening processes.
Must be physically, mentally and medically fit as per company and/or client standards.
Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.
Availability to work overtime when necessary.
