Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Knowledge of administration functions
- Familiarity with the Skills Development Act (1998)
- Knowledge of Trade Test Regulations, ARPL Criteria and Guidelines, and National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB)
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Skills in report writing, planning, organizing, verbal and written communication
- Problem-solving, filing, administration, and time management
Key Responsibilities
As a General Administrative Clerk (RPL), your duties will include:
- Registering Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) candidates according to ARPL Guidelines and Trade Test Regulations
- Verifying documents, capturing walk-in and online applications, and ensuring compliance
- Implementing and maintaining ARPL administration, scheduling, monitoring, and evaluation according to the ARPL Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Filing and archiving closed ARPL files
- Advising qualifying and non-qualifying applicants and stakeholders on the ARPL registration process
- Recording and reporting all ARPL complaints and irregularities to supervisors
This role ensures efficient and accurate administration of ARPL processes, supporting the development of skilled artisans across South Africa.
