Main Purpose of the Job:

The primary role of a Sales Assistant is to deliver top-notch customer service and contribute to the company’s growth by maximizing sales. Your mission is to ensure every customer leaves the store with a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
• Assist customers in finding products and offer tailored recommendations.
• Implement upselling and cross-selling techniques to boost sales and improve key performance indicators like Unit Per Transaction (UPT) and Average Transaction Value (ATV).
• Promote various payment options including PAYFLEX, PJN, and Happy Pay.
• Represent the GALXBOY brand with professionalism, adhering to uniform and grooming standards.

2. Visual Merchandising:

• Stay informed about product details, care instructions, and pricing to better assist customers.
• Handle product tagging, pricing, hanging, folding, and replenishing.
• Follow visual merchandising guidelines to create an inviting and organized shopping environment.

3. Stock Control:

• Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sales floor.
• Maintain an organized and clean stockroom for efficient sales processes.
• Keep managers updated on stock levels, best sellers, and restock needs.
• Receive and unbox new deliveries promptly, ensuring the sales floor is always well-stocked.

4. Daily Operations and Housekeeping:

• Adhere to time and attendance policies, including clocking in/out and reporting late arrivals.
• Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and manage various payment methods.
• Ensure the store remains clean and tidy, including merchandise organization, floor sweeping, and display maintenance.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Education: Grade 12 (Higher education is an advantage).
• Experience: 1-2 years in a retail environment is preferred.
• Skills: Customer service, retail practices, and leadership abilities.
• Attributes: Professional, organized, and customer-focused.
