Minimum Requirements for Applicants
To qualify for the Tactical Response Team Manager position, applicants must meet the following standards:
- Grade 12 or Matric
- PSIRA Grade A or B
- Must have a valid Tactical Response Team training certificate
- At least three years of experience in law enforcement, military special operations, or private tactical security
- Supervisory experience is required, and experience in the mining security industry will be an added advantage
- Must be fully competent with firearms for business use, including handgun, shotgun, and rifle
- Additional training such as tactical medic, SWAT certification, or similar qualifications will be beneficial
- Must demonstrate strong skills in tactical movement, firearm handling, and defensive strategies
- Physical fitness and agility are essential, as the job involves demanding outdoor and operational work
- Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Must pass a medical assessment
- A clean criminal record and valid driver’s license are required
- Applicants must reside in the Vanderbijlpark or Vereeniging area

Key Duties You Will Handle
As a Tactical Response Team Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Responding to high-risk incidents and emergencies as part of a trained tactical unit
- Leading and coordinating operations such as armed suspect apprehensions, hostage recovery, and barricade situations
- Conducting detailed mission planning, intelligence gathering, and preparing risk assessments
- Ensuring team members follow instructions and communicate clearly during intense or fast-changing situations
- Maintaining high standards in shooting accuracy, close-quarters combat, breaching techniques, and other tactical skills
- Providing safety and protection for VIPs, government officials, major events, and sensitive locations
- Working hand-in-hand with police and other emergency services during joint operations

- Leading regular fitness, weapons, and skills training to ensure readiness at all times
