What Is the Role About?
The main purpose of the Training Officer position is to present, facilitate, and assess training programmes within the security environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all training is delivered according to industry standards, legal requirements, and Fidelity’s internal quality systems.

Minimum Requirements You Must Meet

To qualify, you must have:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- A valid EB driver’s licence
- Basic to good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
- PSIRA Instructor Grades E to A
- Facilitator registration with ETDP SETA
- Assessor registration with ETDP SETA and SASSETA
- Moderator registration with ETDP SETA and SASSETA (this is an advantage but not compulsory)
- Accreditation to facilitate and assess Skills Programmes 1, 2, and 3 (this is compulsory)
- General Security Practices (GSO) at NQF Level 3
- A Specialist Security Practices qualification at NQF Level 4 will be an added advantage

Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Training Officer, your daily work will focus on developing learners and maintaining high training standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Presenting and facilitating security training in line with approved curricula
- Assessing learners fairly and accurately using approved assessment methods
- Coaching and mentoring learners on learnership programmes
- Ensuring learners achieve competence based on unit standards and learning outcomes
- Following Fidelity’s Quality Management System and best practices
- Making sure all training complies with legislation and quality bodies such as SASSETA, PSIRA, QCTO, and the Department of Labour
- Keeping training records updated and accurate
- Supporting learners throughout their training journey to help them succeed
