Famous Brands is currently recruiting professional and experienced Code 14 (EC) drivers to join its logistics operations in both Free State and Midrand. This full-time opportunity is ideal for drivers who are reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering excellent service in the FMCG sector.
Job Overview
As a Code 14 driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, ensuring that all transport regulations, vehicle inspections, and company policies are followed. Your day-to-day duties will involve route planning, vehicle safety checks, delivery documentation, and collaboration with the dispatch team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Drive and deliver goods safely to designated locations
- Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the truck
- Complete all delivery documentation, including invoices and proof of delivery
- Ensure product integrity by monitoring vehicle temperatures and handling stock with care
- Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle issues immediately
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Work closely with van assistants and communicate effectively with the team
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license with at least 5 years’ experience
- Valid and updated PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in FMCG or commercial delivery
- Good communication and reading skills
- Basic numeracy and understanding of route planning and GPS use
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently
