What You’ll Be Doing as a Sales Consultant
As a Sales Consultant (also known as a Brand Ambassador), you’ll be the face of PayJoy inside partner stores. You’ll be the one who chats with customers, explains how PayJoy works, and helps them get the smartphone they’ve been dreaming of.
Here’s what your daily tasks will look like:
- Talking to Customers: Greet shoppers, understand their needs, and explain how PayJoy’s payment options can help.
- Show Your Knowledge: Learn all about PayJoy’s financing plans and the phones available so you can answer questions easily.
- Close the Deal: Help customers apply and get approved quickly. Make the process smooth and simple.
- Be a Star Rep: Be polite, friendly, and professional so every customer leaves with a good impression of PayJoy.
- Team Up: Build strong relationships with the store staff. Working together helps everyone win.
- Keep Things Tidy: Make sure the PayJoy display area always looks clean and attractive.
- Report Back: Let your team know how sales are going, what customers are saying, and what’s working.
- Stick to the Rules: Follow all PayJoy and store guidelines to keep things running smoothly.
What You Need to Apply
You don’t need a fancy degree or years of experience, but here’s what will help you get the job:
- At least 6 months in sales or customer service (telecom or retail experience is a big plus).
- A friendly, clear voice and the ability to explain things simply.
- A love for tech and smartphones – you’ll be talking about them all day!
- A go-getter attitude – you should be excited to reach your goals and help others.
- Basic computer skills and comfortable with using mobile apps.
- Must have completed Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Be okay with working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- You must own a smartphone with at least 10GB of storage.
- Live within 15km of the job location.
