- Act as a visible deterrent to crime, theft, and disorder
- Be friendly, helpful, and professional when dealing with customers and staff
- Perform searches on staff, suppliers, and merchandisers where required
- Keep registers and occurrence books updated and accurate
- Check refuse removal and ensure proper procedures
- Protect property and assets from dishonest behaviour
- Be at your post at all times while on duty
- Report any strange or suspicious behaviour to management
- Be present and cautious during opening and closing times
- Make sure all windows, doors, and taps are secure before leaving
- Conduct personnel and vehicle searches when required
- Report incidents to management and police when needed
- Assist emergency teams and follow proper safety procedures
- Maintain order during evacuation processes
- Offer security advice and warnings when necessary
- Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and emergency equipment
- Patrol after hours and investigate unusual activity
- Respond quickly and correctly during crises
- Keep detailed notes of daily activities and unusual incidents
- Enforce security rules to prevent crime before it happens
- Handle phone calls, respond to messages, and run simple errands as required
