3. Chief Director: Infrastructure Development

Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B Eng/BSc Eng) in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7).

- Strong understanding of the National Water Act (1998), Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and procurement regulations.
- Leadership, strategic planning, project management, budgeting, communication, and change management skills are essential.
Key Duties:
- Lead and manage the department’s national infrastructure development projects.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.

5. Survey Technician Production Grade A – C (Maintenance)

Requirements:
- National Diploma in Survey, Cartography, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Registered with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience in topographical, hydrographical, engineering, and control surveys.
- Knowledge of CAD software, Model Maker, Surpac, Hypack, MS Office, GPS equipment, and boat handling.
Key Duties:
- Carry out a range of surveys including topographic, hydrographic, deformation, and engineering surveys.
- Supervise field survey teams and equipment usage.
- Produce final reports and engineering drawings using computer systems.
- Be available for fieldwork across the country, often for long distances and under pressure.
