Department of Roads and Transport is inviting South African jobseekers with Abet level 4 /Grade 10 or related Qualifications to apply for their Food Service Aid Vacancy.
Minimum Requirements:
- NQF level 1 or (Abet level 4 certificate or equivalent).
- No working experience is required.
Duties:
- Clean kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Provide catering support services.
- Keep stock of kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Apply hygiene and safety measures.
- Serve refreshments to HOD and HOD’s visitors.
- Maintain the stock register.
- Ensure prior knowledge of HOD’s meetings for proper preparations.
- Maintain quality control measures of all food provided.
- Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal.
- Prepare food, snacks, and beverages (water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and cold drinks).
- Set up and convey crockery, cutlery, and equipment to dining areas.
- Serve food and beverages.
- Manage food supplies and report waste or losses.
