Minimum Requirements

Grade 10 with at least 3 years’ laundry experience, or
Grade 12 with at least 1 year’s laundry experience
Ability to read and write
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy will be an added advantage
Proven previous laundry experience
Willingness and flexibility to work night shifts

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Monitor water levels, air pressure, and steam supply before operating CBW industrial laundry machines
Mix and manage chemicals used in the washing process
Inspect, monitor, operate, program, adjust, and perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment
Load, weigh, and process linen accurately using industrial scales
Clean all machine filters and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
Ensure quality control and safety compliance, including entering machines when blockages occur
Keep accurate production statistics and records
Provide formal and informal training to laundry operators
Apply all prescribed occupational health and safety measures
Maintain a clean work environment and wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Handle and process all types of linen
Perform additional duties as required by the department
Candidates will be tested on CBW machinery after the interview process
