Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 10 with at least 3 years’ laundry experience, or
  • Grade 12 with at least 1 year’s laundry experience
  • Ability to read and write
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy will be an added advantage
  • Proven previous laundry experience
  • Willingness and flexibility to work night shifts

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor water levels, air pressure, and steam supply before operating CBW industrial laundry machines
  • Mix and manage chemicals used in the washing process
  • Inspect, monitor, operate, program, adjust, and perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment
  • Load, weigh, and process linen accurately using industrial scales
  • Clean all machine filters and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Ensure quality control and safety compliance, including entering machines when blockages occur
  • Keep accurate production statistics and records
  • Provide formal and informal training to laundry operators
  • Apply all prescribed occupational health and safety measures
  • Maintain a clean work environment and wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Handle and process all types of linen
  • Perform additional duties as required by the department
  • Candidates will be tested on CBW machinery after the interview process
