Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 with at least 3 years’ laundry experience, or
- Grade 12 with at least 1 year’s laundry experience
- Ability to read and write
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage
- Proven previous laundry experience
- Willingness and flexibility to work night shifts
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor water levels, air pressure, and steam supply before operating CBW industrial laundry machines
- Mix and manage chemicals used in the washing process
- Inspect, monitor, operate, program, adjust, and perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment
- Load, weigh, and process linen accurately using industrial scales
- Clean all machine filters and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
- Ensure quality control and safety compliance, including entering machines when blockages occur
- Keep accurate production statistics and records
- Provide formal and informal training to laundry operators
- Apply all prescribed occupational health and safety measures
- Maintain a clean work environment and wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Handle and process all types of linen
- Perform additional duties as required by the department
- Candidates will be tested on CBW machinery after the interview process
