Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this government healthcare job, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the dental assisting unit with administrative and sterilisation tasks, including:
Administrative Responsibilities
- Recording instruments and handpieces requested by clinical staff
- Recording Atest results from the first daily sterilisation load
- Monitoring and recording autoclave cycle start and end times
- Recording dental sets requested by clinical areas and surgeries
Sterilisation and Decontamination
- Cleaning instruments through the proper soaking and detergent process
- Drying, wrapping, and packing instruments according to required guidelines
- Using autoclave tape and acceptor bags for sterilisation processes
- Sterilising instruments using an autoclave machine
- Packing sterilised instruments in the sterile room
Equipment and Linen Handling
- Ordering and packing linen for the linen room
- Disinfecting dental handpieces
- Oiling handpieces using manual methods (such as Kavo spray) or machinery
- Washing dental trays, packing, and sterilising them
