Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- ABET Level 4 or equivalent qualification
- Ability to read and write
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety
- Knowledge of food service operations will be an added advantage
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Key Responsibilities
The appointed Food Service Aids will perform the following duties:
- Prepare, dish up, and serve meals to patients, including therapeutic diets
- Assist with the daily operation of food service equipment
- Wash crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans used in the food service unit
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, equipment, and work areas
- Dispose of waste and clean dustbins
- Pack and unpack food supplies in fridges and freezers
- Clean storage areas, fridges, and freezers
- Participate in food production processes
- Ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Provide support in different sections of the unit and work night duty on rotation
- Follow Public Service Code of Ethics and HR regulations
- Support the delivery of nutritional care to hospital patients
