Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
- Physically and mentally fit with the ability to lift and operate heavy machinery and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
- Knowledge of the correct use of various cleaning chemicals
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with a hospital or healthcare facility setup
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning offices, toilets, passages, clinical areas, and patient waiting areas
- Mopping and polishing floors
- Dusting, washing windows and walls, and polishing furniture
- Cleaning external areas of the facility
- Removal and disposal of general and medical waste bags
- Performing general cleaning and household tasks within the hospital
- Adhering strictly to Health Care Waste Management policies
- Complying with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) policies
- Carrying out any other duties delegated by the supervisor
