Successful candidates will be placed at the following facilities:
- Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Centre – 3 Posts
- Andries Draditsela Clinic – 1 Post
- Kwa-Thema Community Health Centre – 1 Post
- Phillip Moyo Community Health Centre – 1 Post
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- AET Level 4 (Standard 7 / Grade 9 report) up to Grade 12
- Minimum of six (6) months relevant cleaning experience
- Ability to work shifts, including night duty, weekends, and public holidays
- Willingness to rotate when operationally required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Initiative, problem-solving ability, honesty, and reliability
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with the physical demands of the role
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within healthcare facilities, including:
- Cleaning interior and exterior areas such as offices, consulting rooms, passages, waiting areas, bathrooms, showers, and toilets
- Dusting, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing floors
- High dusting of walls and surfaces
- Cleaning windows, stairs, lifts, fire escapes, cupboards, fridges, microwaves, dustbins, and medical equipment
- Assisting with laundry duties
- Cleaning spillages promptly and safely
- Decontamination and disinfection of areas and surfaces
- Removal of general and medical waste in line with Health Care Waste and Infection Prevention and Control guidelines
- Serving meals and washing utensils
- Performing additional duties as delegated by the supervisor
