Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 10 / ABET Level 4 or equivalent
- Basic numerical literacy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to work under pressure and perform physical duties
- Prepared to rotate between departments within the institution
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night duty
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders when required
- Must comply with safety regulations, including wearing protective clothing
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the healthcare facility. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mopping and cleaning floors, doors, windows, toilets, bed frames, and steps
- Dusting furniture and window sills
- Stripping and polishing floors using cleaning equipment such as polisher machines
- Cleaning refrigerators and designated work areas
- Using cleaning chemicals correctly and safely
- Assisting with additional duties as instructed by the supervisor
