Job title: Data Capturer (12 Mont Fixed Term Contract)

Main purpose of the job: To capture study data of all studies/trials conducted at PHRU Matlosana into the
electronic database.
Location: PHRU – Tshepong Hospital, Matlosana, Klerksdorp

Key performance areas
Enter study data into the electronic database
Prepare statistical reports of the data entered on a regular basis
Capture study data into REDCap
Provide written reports to the study coordinator, data coordinator and data manager
Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required
Required minimum education and training:
Matric
Moderate Computer skills using MS Excel MS Access and MS Word
Required minimum work experience:
At least 1 year’s working experience in using spreadsheet and database software.
At least 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Research Data Capturer.
Knowledge, Understanding and adequate Experience in Clinical Research Trials is essential.
Knowledge on REDCap and RAVE and other research data capture platforms would be an added advantage
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
The incumbent will require to have a high concentration span and work in a high cognitive environment over long periods.
The incumbent must have a sound knowledge of Protocol, SOPs and DQMPs. Written and Verbal – effective communication at all levels as part of the multi-disciplinary team with both internal and external stakeholders.
Must possess strong organizational skills
Requires sound organizational, administrative and analytical skills. Intermediate Computer Skills; Time management, Team
player, proactive and enthusiastic, High attention to detail. Logical thinker with the ability to work independently. Ability to
apply consistent adherence to intentional research and GCP practices
Must be detail orientated
Valid Driver’s Licence
Must be able to work as a member of a team
