About the Job
Curro is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and organized individual to join their team as a Hospitality Supporter – Cleaner. This role plays an important part in keeping the school safe, tidy, and ready for daily activities. The position involves both cleaning and hospitality duties, ensuring that classrooms, offices, and meeting spaces are clean, comfortable, and well-prepared.
As a Hospitality Supporter – Cleaner, you’ll contribute to creating an environment where students and teachers can focus on learning without worrying about cleanliness or organization.
What You’ll Need
To qualify for this role, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Some experience working in a cleaning or hospitality role, preferably in an educational environment such as a school or college.
- Good organization and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Your Daily Responsibilities
This role combines cleaning and light hospitality tasks, both of which are vital to maintaining Curro’s high standards.
Cleaning Duties:
- Perform general cleaning of all offices, classrooms, and staff areas — including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms daily, restocking supplies as needed.
- Empty bins and remove waste in office and staff areas.
- Wipe down windows, tables, chairs, and other surfaces to keep them dust-free and polished.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the manager immediately.
- Follow the cleaning roster carefully and sign off tasks once completed.
- Ensure all cleaning tools and materials are properly maintained and stored.
Hospitality Duties:
- Prepare boardrooms and meeting areas before sessions start.
- Set up catering, beverages, and refreshments as required.
- Restock kitchen and boardroom supplies such as cups, sugar, tea, and coffee.
- Clear catering items after meetings and restore rooms to order for the next event.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas like lounges and waiting rooms to ensure guests feel comfortable.
Ad-hoc Duties:
- Carry out extra cleaning or support tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- Support special events or school functions when needed.
