Position Overview
As a General Assistant, you will assist with a variety of retail duties aimed at providing a positive customer experience and ensuring smooth store operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with product enquiries
- Retrieve and restock merchandise from shelves or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store
- Help customers locate items and offer basic guidance
- Support price checks, stock counting, and inventory control
- Assist at the checkout counter when needed
- Report any facility maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly
Candidate Requirements
- Minimal educational requirement of Grade 10 or equivalent
- Pleasant communication style and approachable personality
- Reliable work ethic and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to learn about retail products and systems
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and handle light lifting during a shift
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required
