This programme equips you with practical skills in automated packaging, safety, quality control, and basic mechanical maintenance—setting you up for a future in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and support automated packaging lines
- Perform line operations, cleaning, and housekeeping
- Conduct pre-start checks to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Monitor product and packaging quality; report faults
- Identify process abnormalities and take corrective action
- Clean and maintain machinery according to standards
- Prepare and check raw materials for production
- Promote health, safety, sustainability, and eco-efficiency
- Complete learnership assessments, logbooks, and assignments
Requirements
- Matric (NSC) with Mathematics and Science, OR
- N2/N3/N4 Engineering qualification
- Willingness to work onsite at Maydon Wharf Factory, Durban
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
