Glencore Coal SA is currently recruiting an Assistant Training Officer – Learners to be based in the Witbank (Emalahleni), Mpumalanga area.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will coordinate and administer the 18.1 and 18.2 Engineering Learnership Program, while supporting the HR department with learner recruitment, onboarding, and training administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with compiling SLP targets for Engineering Learners, considering workforce numbers, turnover, and employment equity.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of engineering learners and practical trainees.
- Coordinate learner placements and training schedules at CTC and operational sites.
- Maintain accurate learner records in line with MQA, QCTO, ISO, and internal Learning & Development policies.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly learner progress reports.
- Review learner feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate the Learnership Programme and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Engineering Trade Certificate
- Assessor Certificate
- ETDP (Education, Training & Development Practices) Certificate
Minimum Experience & Skills
- At least 3 years’ experience as an Artisan
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code EB/08)
- Mining industry experience (advantageous)
