What You Will Be Doing as a Farm Assistant
Daily Farm Work and Support
As a Farm Assistant, your main job will be to help with different farm activities as instructed by farm managers and researchers. You will be working in fruit farming areas and helping with both farming and basic maintenance tasks.
Your Main Duties Will Include
Helping With Farm Practices
You will assist with normal farm work such as planting, cleaning, moving materials, and supporting crop production. You will follow instructions given by supervisors and researchers.
Using and Looking After Tools
You will use farm tools and basic equipment. You must also take care of these tools and make sure they are kept in good condition.
Doing Manual Work
Some tasks will need physical effort, such as lifting, carrying, digging, cleaning, and building small structures. This is hands-on work, so you must be ready to work with your body.
Following Safety Rules
You will be required to wear protective clothing when needed and follow health and safety rules at all times. This helps to prevent injuries and keeps everyone safe.
Working in Different Weather Conditions
Farm work does not stop because of heat, cold, or light rain. You must be willing to work outdoors even when the weather is not perfect.

Minimum School and Experience Requirements

Education
You must have at least Grade 10.
Experience
