
AGSA & CATHSSETA Invites Youth to Apply for Food & Beverage Services Learnership 2025
The African Global Skills Academy (AGSA), in partnership with CATHSSETA (Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority), is calling on unemployed young South Africans to apply for their Food & Beverage Services Learnership Programme. This programme aims to equip youth with valuable skills to build successful careers in the hospitality industry.

About the AGSA & CATHSSETA Learnership
This is a 12-month accredited learnership programme designed to give participants both classroom learning and practical workplace experience. By the end of the programme, successful learners will graduate with a National Certificate in Food & Beverage Services (NQF Level 4), which is widely recognised across South Africa’s hospitality sector.
The programme will officially start on 1 October 2025 and will take place in Cape Town, Western Cape. It is perfect for young individuals who are passionate about food, customer service, and building a career in hotels, restaurants, or catering services.
While participating, learners will receive a monthly stipend of R3,500, provided they attend all training sessions and meet the programme requirements.

Minimum Requirements to Apply

- Be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35.
- Live in the Cape Town area, Western Cape.
- Be unemployed at the time of applying.
- Have a Matric certificate or Grade 11 report (certified within the last six months).
- Submit an updated CV.
- Provide a certified copy of your South African ID (not older than six months).
