Throughout the programme, you will be subjected to a structured curriculum that combines both theoretical assessments and practical working sessions held in a real-time company setting. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the AfriSam Learnerships must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. Each of these items below will determine whether you have what it takes to proceed with this learnership. To guarantee a successful application, candidates are advised to meet all of the following requirements. The AfriSam Learnerships Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- Unemployed youths
- Achieve Grade 12 with pure Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English, all passed
- Obtain an N2 Certificate including four relevant subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, and two additional subjects required by the trade
- Acquire relevant Engineering NCV Certificates with seven subjects at NQF Level 4
- Complete Technical Grade 11 with Mathematics, Science, Language, and a related trade theory subject
- Attain a relevant N6 certificate or National Technical Diploma (T, S, or N stream) directly related to the trade theory subjects
- Secure a valid driver’s license, as it will be advantageous.

- Certified copy of Identity Document
- Grade 12 results
By sending in your applications, you are hereby giving permission to the selection committee to have your personal information utilized for registration purposes.
Applications will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting procedures to verify the validity of candidates. Anyone discovered to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will be disqualified from the registration period.
Candidates must process their applications through the portal provided above. Submissions made through other methods, such as email or fax, will not be accepted by the selection committee.
Closing Date
Applications for the AfriSam Learnerships must be submitted before the closing date on 08 November 2024.
The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.
AfriSam take great care in assessing each application individually, however only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, therefore please deem your application as unsuccessful if you receive no feedback after 2 weeks of sending your CV.
