Rainbow Farms is hiring Assistant Farmers for their broiler operations in Commissiesdrift and Magaliesburg (Northern Region). What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Farmer, you’ll:
- Prepare farm houses for new chicks, creating ideal conditions for growth.
- Coordinate chick placement and monitor their quality and brooding conditions.
- Track daily bird performance (feed intake, water, temperature, humidity, mortality).
- Manage ventilation to keep birds comfortable and healthy.
- Monitor water quality, sanitation, and pressure settings.
- Handle feed deliveries, record stock, and ensure feed quality.
- Support biosecurity and farm hygiene to prevent disease.
- Coordinate outsourcing tasks like bird catching and ensure accurate documentation.
