🎯 What Does a CCTV Operator Do?
As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring security cameras, incidents, and reporting suspicious activity to ensure safety. Your role is critical in keeping locations secure and responding to any threats in real-time.
🔍 Your Key Responsibilities:✅ Monitor Security Systems – Keep a close watch on live CCTV footage and alarm-based applications.✅ Track Movements – Report any unusual activity happening on-site.✅ Capture Important Data – Keep records of incidents and system checks.✅ Communicate with Security Teams – Provide information to armed response teams and supervisors when needed.✅ Ensure Excellent Customer Service – Always maintain high service levels when dealing with clients.
📝 What You Need to Apply🔹 Matric Certificate (Grade 12) – A must-have!🔹 PSIRA Registration – You need to be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority.🔹 Tech-Savvy – Advanced computer literacy and strong report-writing skills.🔹 Experience in a Control Room – At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.🔹 Willingness to Work Shifts – This job follows a 2-2-4 shift pattern:
- 2 days day shift (06:00 – 18:00)
- 2 days night shift (18:00 – 06:00)
- 4 days off
