About the Hollard IT Learnership 2026
Hollard is seeking for applicants who would like theoretical knowledge and practical skills focusing on the IT department with their learnership programme. The Hollard IT Learnership Programme is designed to equip aspiring technology professionals with practical workplace experience, digital and technical skills, and a strong foundation for a career in Information Technology.
Over 12 months, learners gain hands-on exposure to technology teams, digital business operations, systems, data, and modern workplace tools while learning from experienced professionals and mentors. The programme combines structured learning with practical experience, helping participants develop technical abilities, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build the confidence needed to succeed in a professional technology environment.
The programme offers ambitious young South Africans an opportunity to gain real-world experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. By developing industry-relevant skills and workplace knowledge, the learnership helps prepare participants for careers in the digital and technology sectors. It also supports business innovation and improved customer experiences through technology while creating pathways for young talent to enter, develop, and progress within the IT industry.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Gain practical insight into IT settings, digital operations, and technology-driven business activities
- Engage in organised training sessions and contribute to relevant workplace projects
- Support routine IT administration and assist with day-to-day operational duties
- Strengthen analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving abilities
- Work alongside technology professionals, mentors, and other team members
- Develop an understanding of business systems, software applications, data, digital platforms, and technology solutions
- Fulfil the required learning components to work towards nationally recognised qualifications

The Hollard IT Learnership Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
1. Basic Qualifications
- Complete Grade 12 / Matric
- Achieve at least 60% in English and pass an additional South African language
- Obtain a minimum mark of 60% in Mathematics
- Earn at least 50% in Computer Applications Technology (CAT) or Physical Science
2. Required Knowledge
- Confirm your South African citizenship and ensure you are between 18 and 26 years old
- Demonstrate strong academic performance in English, Mathematics, and CAT or Physical Science
- Develop basic computer skills and gain familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Show a genuine interest in technology, innovation, and digital solutions
- Demonstrate curiosity, a willingness to learn, and adaptability
- Display strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
