The Fedics Hostess position is seeking a dedicated Ward Hostess to provide professional meal service within patient wards. The successful candidate will work independently while ensuring that patients receive attentive and courteous service throughout their stay.

The Ward Hostess will be responsible for serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks to patients in a busy and fast-paced healthcare environment. The role requires excellent organisation, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure that meals are delivered accurately and on time while maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient service.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

Serve patients tea, coffee, and suitable snack alternatives
Complete menu cards accurately according to each patient’s meal preferences
Return completed menu cards to the kitchen promptly
Update the diet list before each meal service
Report any changes or adjustments to patients’ diets immediately
Transport meal trolleys from the kitchen to the wards in an orderly manner and return them after serving patients
Check that every tray is complete before placing it on the trolley and serving it to the patient
Serve patients’ meals on trays and remove the trays promptly once the patient has finished eating
Wash all cutlery after every meal and maintain strict control of cutlery used in the ward
Ensure that cutlery is always provided in designated cutlery bags
Take responsibility for all cutlery used in the ward and keep it securely locked away when not in use
Keep the ward kitchen clean, organised, and tidy at all times, ensuring that no used trays are left behind after meals.
