Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a National Senior Certificate, commonly known as Grade 12 or Matric.
No previous work experience is required for either position. However, applicants who have worked or gained exposure in an office, museum or public service environment may have an advantage.
An NQF Level 6 qualification in one of the following fields will be an added advantage:
- Office Administration
- Business Administration
- Secretarial Studies
- Management Assistant
- Public Administration
- Tourism Management, particularly for the Bayworld Museum position

Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will provide reception, secretarial and clerical support to their respective museum offices.
Reception and Secretarial Support
Responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, screening and forwarding incoming telephone calls

- Welcoming visitors to the museum
- Determining the needs of visitors
- Directing visitors to the appropriate staff members or service areas
