Minimum Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior areas of Tambo Memorial Hospital.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning bathrooms, showers, offices, wards, passages and waiting areas
- Sweeping, washing, scrubbing, mopping and polishing floors
- Cleaning windows, stairs, fire escapes and walls
- Dusting furniture, surfaces and equipment
- Cleaning medical equipment and refrigerators
- Emptying rubbish bins
- Removing general and medical waste
- Cleaning spillages
- Keeping patient and public areas clean and hygienic
- Following hospital cleaning procedures and policies
- Complying with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Following Infection Prevention and Control procedures
- Handling healthcare waste according to the relevant policy
- Rotating between different hospital areas when required
- Performing other duties assigned by supervisors
Employees must maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, healthcare workers and visitors.
