About the Tronox Learnerships 2026
Tronox is on the search for applicants who would like to obtain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in 3 different study fields based in KwaZulu Natal. The Tronox Learnerships are available at our KZN Sands operations, located in Empangeni and Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal. These opportunities are open exclusively to South African citizens and are designed to provide candidates with valuable industry experience. The primary goal of the learnership is to foster personal and professional development, equipping participants with the necessary skills to thrive in the workplace. Key responsibilities during the programme include maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, understanding production processes, managing processed documents, ensuring proper housekeeping, and conducting routine inspections.
Participants will follow a structured learning path that blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in a real workplace setting. Through a combination of formal assessments and practical training, candidates will gain firsthand exposure to industry practices while working under the mentorship of experienced professionals. The programme is designed to help learners progress steadily toward a recognized qualification, offering them the chance to enhance their skills and build a solid foundation for their future careers.

Eligibility Criteria

The Tronox Learnerships Eligibliity Criteria are as follows:
- Possess a Grade 12 Certificate
- Be a South African citizen
- Meet the age requirement of between 18 and 35 years
- Demonstrate communication skills, planning and organizing ability, initiative, teamwork and cooperation, strong interpersonal relationships, self-confidence, and eagerness to learn
- Submit a CV with certified supporting documents listed below (not older than 3 months)
- Provide a valid Identity Document (ID)
- Attach a Grade 12 certificate
- Include confirmation of disability from a registered medical doctor.
Submit a confirmation of unemployment (affidavit) - Provide proof of residence from the Traditional Council (TC)
