Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Computer literacy
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to apply Batho Pele Principles in a working environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Patient Affairs Directorate. Duties include:

  • Registering and admitting patients on SAP/HIS or manually
  • Classifying patients according to the Uniform Patient Fee Schedule (UPFS)
  • Completing administrative documents accurately
  • Billing patients and collecting money where applicable
  • Issuing receipts and balancing the in-paying register at the end of each shift
  • Capturing patient data correctly to ensure good data quality
  • Recording patient admissions and discharges accurately
  • Ensuring patient files are correctly and completely compiled
  • Compiling daily and monthly patient statistics
  • Ensuring working materials and equipment are available
  • Reporting lost, damaged, or dysfunctional equipment
  • Assisting with stock ordering and stock management systems
