Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
  • three-year relevant qualification (National Diploma – NQF Level 6) with at least 360 credits recognized by SAQA will be an advantage
  • Minimum one (1) year administrative experience, preferably in a court or legal environment

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of registry procedures and court administrative processes

  • Familiarity with filing systems, mail procedures, and records management
  • Knowledge of the Promotion of Access to Information Act
  • Knowledge of the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa Act
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles

Key Responsibilities

The Registrar’s Clerk will support the daily operations of the court by performing the following duties:

  • Answering telephone calls and responding to Court Online or CaseLines system queries
  • Assisting walk-in clients with court system enquiries
  • Registering Court Online and CaseLines users
  • Initiating or starting cases on the system
  • Logging unresolved technical issues to secondary support teams
  • Providing guidance on the use of court systems
  • Assisting court officials with technical and system-related issues
  • Carrying out instructions from the Registrar
  • Capturing and submitting statistics related to court systems
  • Enrolling civil matters on court rolls
  • Issuing civil processes and applications

This role plays an important part in ensuring efficient court administration and case management.
