Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this Human Resources Clerk position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Administrative Clerk Jobs 2026 at the NPA

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Clerks will play a critical role in supporting prosecutors and managing case data within the justice system. Duties include:

  • Generating reports and statistics from the Electronic Case Management System (ECMS)
  • Receiving and collating court statistics
  • Updating court statistics registers daily
  • Preparing monthly statistical reports for supervisors and NPA officials
  • Verifying court statistics and conducting data validation checks
  • Updating the electronic case register when new information becomes available
  • Communicating with prosecutors regarding court matters
  • Registering incoming dockets and scanning documentation
  • Capturing new cases on the ECMS database
  • Updating case information based on court proceedings
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of ECMS data
  • Providing case documents to defence attorneys when requested by prosecutors
  • Making photocopies of charge sheets for finalized cases
  • Responding to case flow queries from prosecutors and SAPS
  • Acting as a liaison between the NPA and SAPS to obtain urgent dockets
  • Communicating with witnesses regarding court dates and consultations
  • Informing complainants about case outcomes
  • Managing case files and documentation
  • Preparing and maintaining official records and files
