Ampath is offering a part-time learnership in three locations for anybody interested in learning the ropes and knowledge as a qualified Phlebotomy Technician. The Ampath Phlebotomy Technician Learnership is a full-time training programme that runs for 24 months, with the intake beginning in late January 2027. The programme is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online instruction with in-person sessions held from Monday to Friday. Due to its full-time nature, participants are not allowed to take on any other form of employment while enrolled in the course.
In addition to theoretical learning, the programme includes practical, hands-on training at Ampath Care Centers, where learners gain real-world experience in a clinical environment. Training is conducted at designated locations in Centurion, Gauteng, and Westridge in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The learnership is fully funded by HWSETA and Ampath Laboratories, ensuring that eligible candidates can participate without bearing the cost of tuition.
