- Maintain medical fitness required for the training position
- Show technical ability and strong hand–eye coordination
- Exhibit qualities of being a fast learner, energetic, disciplined, and committed to a strong work ethic
- Display motivation to learn and develop into an equipment or process operator
- Be prepared to work shifts and overtime in a 24-hour operational environment
- Preference will be offered to applicant who are residing within the Steve Tshwete municipality region
