Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • No prior work experience required

Knowledge Requirements

  • Basic clerical procedures
  • Information Communication Technology (ICT) procedures
  • Call centre norms and standards
  • Basic statistics
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles and Six Ministerial Priorities

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Answering and transferring incoming calls promptly using an updated telephone directory
  • Monitoring calls and providing feedback to clients
  • Maintaining updated extension lists and contact records for doctors and nurses
  • Updating the hospital telephone directory regularly
  • Managing emergency and high-priority calls via SMS, paging, and email
  • Assisting with troubleshooting telephone and PABX issues
  • Providing accurate information using reference materials
  • Supporting general administrative tasks
  • Assisting with disaster management services
  • Complying with the Performance Management and Development System
