Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent qualification
- No prior experience required
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform routine tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Willingness to perform physical labour
- Prepared to wear protective clothing as required by law
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Knowledge of laundry working procedures and processes will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Sorting and counting dirty linen received from hospitals
- Operating and assisting with laundry machines and equipment
- Washing and processing soiled linen
- Packing clean linen into bags and on trolleys
- Issuing and delivering clean linen to hospitals and clinics
- Maintaining cleanliness of the laundry area
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
This role plays a vital part in ensuring healthcare facilities receive clean and hygienic linen daily.
