Job Overview

The successful candidate will form part of the Engineering Department and will be responsible for accurate data capturing, job card management, and administrative support aligned with company standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 equivalent
  • 2–5 years’ administrative or data-capturing experience in an engineering or workshop environment
  • Good understanding of invoicing and job card processes
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends when required

Advantageous Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical qualification or course
  • Parts store experience
  • Knowledge of On-Key system or Pragma
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Data Capturer – Engineering will be responsible for:

  • Accurate capturing of job cards and related documentation
  • Opening and closing job cards
  • Scanning documents onto File Director
  • Filing documentation within required deadlines
  • Compiling reports
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Taking full responsibility in the absence of the Planner
  • Performing additional tasks as required by the line manager

Accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability are critical in this position.
