What You’ll Be Doing (Duties & Responsibilities)
This job combines store support, stock work and customer service. You won’t be doing one thing only — you will be helping with different tasks throughout the day.
1) Offloading Stock
One of your main tasks is offloading stock when deliveries arrive.
This includes:
- carrying stock safely
- checking deliveries
- moving items into storage areas
- supporting the team during busy delivery times
You must be physically fit and able to handle heavy boxes sometimes.
2) Packing Stock and Merchandising Shelves
Your second big responsibility is packing shelves and doing merchandising.
This includes:
- stocking shelves neatly
- making sure products are displayed properly
- organising products by category
- improving shelf appearance so the store looks professional
Merchandising is very important because it helps the store sell more products and improves customer experience.
3) Assisting Customers on the Floor
Even though this job includes stock work, you will also deal with customers.
