What You’ll Do
- Provide mechanical engineering services for SAPS building and maintenance projects
- Ensure technical compliance and quality certification on construction sites
- Compile technical documentation and specifications for bids and tenders
- Inspect mechanical engineering work and provide professional advice
- Support sustainable energy solutions in new and existing SAPS facilities
- Guide external consultants under professional supervision
Minimum Requirements (All Applicants)
- Grade 12 / NCV (NQF Level 4) recorded on NLRD
- South African citizenship (documentary proof required)
- Proficient in at least two official languages (one must be English)
- Valid light motor vehicle driver’s licence
- No criminal record or pending disciplinary/civil cases
- No visible tattoos when wearing SAPS uniform
- Willingness to undergo vetting, security screening, and fingerprint verification
Additional Post Requirements
- National Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical Engineering (NQF 6 or higher, SAQA-accredited)
- ECSA registration as Candidate Technician (advantageous)
- Relevant mechanical engineering experience (advantage)
- Computer literacy with strong problem-solving skills
- Competency in CAD Revit and related engineering software
- Project management skills
