Purpose of the Role

To provide effective administrative and SAP support to the Distribution Centre, ensuring accurate procurement of goods and services, cost control, and full compliance with company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for procurement of goods and services within the DC
  • Liaise between line managers, accounts payable, and suppliers
  • Manage stationery and packaging spend to remain within budget
  • Control and reconcile petty cash, ensuring timely replenishment
  • Resolve supplier queries and source cost-effective quotations
  • Submit and manage casual labour requisitions in line with labour policies
  • Reconcile SAP orders, goods receipts, and actual supply variances
  • Reconcile weekly timesheets, invoices, provident fund, and medical aid contributions
  • Ensure all casual wages invoices are included in monthly accruals
  • Verify accuracy of invoices for transport, labour, overtime, rentals, and mileage
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health & safety and internal policies

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Essential)
  • BCom or relevant 3-year qualification (Advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years’ administrative experience
  • At least 1 year in distribution/logistics
  • SAP experience (Essential)
  • Basic accounting and reconciliations experience
  • Supplier and customer liaison experience (Advantageous)
  • Warehouse Management System exposure (Advantageous)

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and multitasking ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of logistics and distribution centre operations
  • Knowledge of TES billing and labour legislation
  • Customer and service excellence driven
