Job Overview
The Long Haul Driver will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of products to customers, ensuring zero defects, compliance with road safety standards, and excellent vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver bulk or bagged products to assigned customers on time
- Maintain fuel consumption within agreed standards
- Inspect tyres, lights, trailer couplings, oil, and water levels
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthy condition
- Report defects and prevent breakdowns
- Perform basic fault finding, including tyre changes
- Maintain constant cell phone availability
- Ensure zero traffic or speeding fines
- Adhere to all safety and driving regulations
- Safeguard all issued equipment and spare wheels
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Long Haul Driver
- Advanced Driver Training Certification (advantageous)
