Glencore is currently searching for candidates who would like to obtain a learnership programme focusing on the career path as Assistant Training Officer. The Glencore Assistant Training Officer Learnership is currently open for applications for a position based in the Witbank, Mpumalanga area. The role of Assistant Training Officer (Learners) involves the effective coordination and administration of the 18.1 and 18.2 Engineering Learnership Programmes.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage and support all operational aspects of the learnerships, ensuring that training activities are implemented efficiently and in line with organisational and regulatory requirements. In addition, the incumbent will assist the Human Resources department with the coordination of learner recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, ensuring that suitable candidates are identified, properly assessed, and smoothly integrated into the programme.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Support the development of SLP targets for Engineering Learners by considering current learner numbers, attrition rates, and employment equity requirements
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for engineering learners and practical trainees
- Coordinate learner placements and manage training schedules across the CTC and operational sites
- Maintain and update learner records in line with MQA, QCTO, ISO, and internal Learning and Development policies and procedures
- Compile and submit accurate weekly and monthly progress reports on all learners in accordance with departmental reporting requirements
- Analyse learner feedback to identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Assess the overall effectiveness of the Learnership Programme and provide recommendations to enhance its quality and impact
