About Sasol Mining Operations
Sasol Mining operates six coal mines that form a critical part of Sasol’s Southern African integrated value chain:
- Coal supplied to Secunda Synfuels Operations (SSO) is used mainly for gasification and electricity generation
- Coal supplied to Sasolburg Operations (SO) is used for electricity and steam generation
- Export coal is processed through the Twistdraai Export Plant and shipped via the Richards Bay Coal Terminal to international power generation customers

Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 / N3 / NCV Level 4
- Subjects required: Mathematics, Science, and English / Business English
- Driver’s Licence – Code 14 (Advantageous)
- Public Driving Permit (Advantageous)
- Must be able to obtain a medical certificate of fitness

- Ability to use hand tools safely
- Knowledge of underground machinery such as:
- Shuttle Car
- Roof Bolter
